Piggy Gallery Generator

german (deutsch)

Piggy is an application for building web photo albums.

Features:

Piggy is mostly written in Ruby using the FXRuby gui toolkit. But Piggy has nothing to do with Ruby on Rails. You won't need Ruby on the server.

Just build your gallery and upload.

The main view of the application is a kind of image viewer. Select an image file and it will be shown in the middle frame of the application. You may decide if you want this image to be included in the internet picture album:

Step through the chosen images with the next and previous buttons to be sure that only images you really want to publish are chosen.

Images with Exif metainformation will be rotated automatically. You may also rotate the currently shown image. Piggy will not change the original image but use this new rotation in the gallery.

Html-generation is done by clicking the generation button. You'll be prompted for page title, destination path and a name for a subdirectory. You can also choose between different styles. Piggy will create two resized copies of every preselected image into the subdirectory of the destination and html-pages to show them.

Piggy comes with an integrated upload function. Connect to the ftp server of your web hoster and upload the new galery. The ftp browser will also highlight new or chaged files by comparison of timestamps.
